Fight at Mpls. Edison leads to 2 student arrests

Minneapolis police officials say officers arrested two girls Monday in connection with an altercation at Minneapolis Edison High School.
Officers responded just before 10 a.m. to a report of a disturbance at the front desk at the northeast Minneapolis high school. Two girls were arrested for disorderly conduct and assault, said Minneapolis police spokesperson Darcy Horn.
Two adults were also involved in the confrontation but were not taken into custody. A man was cited for obstructing the legal process and a woman cited for disorderly conduct, Horn said.
In an email to parents, Edison principal Eryn Warne said the disturbance was started by the parents and that students were held in their classrooms until the incident was resolved.
