Why is PA Native Lauren Holly Talking About Addiction?

Actress Lauren Holly maybe best-known for her role as Director Jenny Shepherd on the TV show NCIS. This Pennsylvania native from Bucks County is now featured in the Netflix Series Designated Survivor.  VIA’s Mindy Cronk had a chance to talk by phone with the actress about her role and the character’s struggle with opioid addiction.

Lauren's character on the show is addicted to pain medicine and an example of how opioid addiction can happen to anyone. This feature is presented by Battling Opioids, a project of Pennsylvania Public Media.
