Berwick Football Legend George Curry to Appear on WVIA-TV’s “Stay Tuned”

PITTSTON, Pa. – Legendary high school football coach George Curry will be featured on "Stay Tuned" this Thursday at 7 p.m.

 

The episode hosted by Adriane Heine features a salute to Coach Curry's 46 years at the helm, 450 victories, and six Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association Class 3A Championships.

 

"Stay Tuned" is a monthly, hour long, magazine-style television program showcasing stories throughout northeastern Pennsylvania and the central Susquehanna valley. 

 

Also included in this week's episode:

 

  • How East Scranton Junior High School in the city's Hill Section is still serving the community through a unique collaboration despite closing its doors in 2001.
  • Marywood University’s unique National String Project Consortium, which trains teachers and students throughout the region.
  • How education and adoption are being used to combat animal cruelty in northeastern Pennsylvania 
  • Food waste in the region and the benefits of fresh produce. 

 

Encore presentations of this episode of "Stay Tuned" will be shown Friday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 21 at 5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m., Friday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m., Thursday, March 3 at 7 p.m., Friday, March 4 at 7 p.m. and Thursday, March 10 at 7 p.m.
