Join WVIA for the 2017 Artist Celebrations – Public Invited

PITTSTON, Pa. – WVIA will spotlight visual student artists from throughout northeast and central Pennsylvania during the Artist Celebration on Friday, April 7, 2015 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Gallery 425 in Williamsport, PA, Saturday, April 8th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Mainstreet Galleries in Kingston, PA and The Looking Glass Gallery in Hawley, PA on Friday, April 21 at 5 p.m.. The events are free and open to the public and light refreshments will be served.

 

The celebration will showcase artwork from the top 11 visual artists from WVIA’s 2016-17 Artist of the Week program. During the events WVIA will announce the Artist of the Year or both Performing and Visual Art, as well as the People's Choice Awards.

 

WVIA is proud to announce that the following Performing Artists of the Week have been chosen as the top 10 performers, and finalists for Performing Artist of the Year: Eric Lee from Valley View High School, Jessica Hopkins from Wyoming Area High School, Ellie Motichka from Western Wayne High School, Natalie Ryba from Hazleton Area High School, Dylan Tackley from Mid Valley Junior Senior High School, Kaile Martinelli from West Scranton High School, Cassandra Walters from Hughesville Junior Senior High School, Christina Han from Lewisburg High School, Jessi Burdett from Loyalsock Township and William Knauth from Williamsport Area High School.

 

The students who have been chosen as the top 11 Visual Artists of the Week whose artwork will be displayed during the Artist Celebration are Nicholas Woronchuk from Abington Heights High School, Nicholas Antidormi from Western Wayne High School, Abbey John from Hazleton Area High School, Bailey Piechota from Pittston Area High School, Reiley Weems from Delaware Valley High School, Jake Orrell from Mid Valley Junior Senior High School, Rachel Caudell from Tunkhannock Area High School, Bobby Brenner from Coughlin High School, Sheila Brassard from Southern Columbia High School, Olivia Martin from Lewisburg Area High School, Kacee Reitz from Milton High School
