WVIA PR – 2016 Congressional Debates to be broadcast live on WVIA Public Media

PITTSTON, Pa. – The 2016 WVIA Congressional Debates will broadcast live from the Sordoni High-Definition Theater at the WVIA Studios in Pittston, PA on Tuesday, November 1, Wednesday, Nov. 2, and Thursday, Nov. 3 starting at 7 p.m. each night on WVIA TV. The debates will also be simulcast live on WVIA FM and streamed live at http://www.wvia.org/home/.

The live debate for the 10th Congressional District between Congressman Tom Marino (R) and Michael Molesevich (D) will air Tuesday, Nov. 1, while the 17th Congressional District live debate between Congressman Matt Cartwright (D) and Matt Connolly (R) will be broadcast Wednesday, Nov. 2. Then on Thursday, Nov. 3 Congressman Lou Barletta (R), and Mike Marsicano (D) will debate live for the 11th Congressional District.


The moderator for all 3 debates will be WVIA’s Larry Vojtko.


Panelists for the debates include: Dr Jean Harris, Professor, Political Science & Women's Studies, University of Scranton, Andy Mehalshick , WBRE Eyewittness News, Dr. Tom Baldino, Professor, Political Science
Wilkes University, Bill O'Boyle, Staff Writer, Times Leader and more.
