PITTSTON, Pa. – On Monday, May 2, WVIA-TV will continue airing episodes of Scholastic Scrimmage featuring the new Lycoming County division. Williamsport Area High School will compete against Hughesville High School followed by Montoursville Area High School competing against Loyalsock Township High School.

Taped at Pennsylvania College of Technology this past March, the episodes will air in succession with the first episode airing at 7 p.m. and the second airing at 7:30 p.m. on WVIA-TV.

These episodes were made possible by a grant from the Williamsport Lycoming Community Fund at the First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania, which enabled Lycoming County high schools to participate in this year’s Scholastic Scrimmage competition.

Scholastic Scrimmage is a quiz show produced by WVIA Public Media showcasing high school students throughout the region.

The First Community Foundation Partnership of Pennsylvania works to improve the quality of life in north central Pennsylvania through community leadership, the promotion of philanthropy, the strengthening of nonprofit impact and the perpetual stewardship of charitable assets.

Penn College is a special mission affiliate of Penn State, committed to applied technology education. America's Best Colleges ranks Penn College among the top 10 public, four-year colleges in the north. It also is one of the nation's leading associate degree producers.
