WVIA PR – WVIA to air tribute episode of Homegrown Music Concerts to the late George Wesley

Last Updated by WVIA Admin on

PITTSTON, Pa. – WVIA television will air a special encore performance of the 2008 George Wesley Homegrown Music Concert episode on Saturday, July 23 at 9pm, re-airing again at 11pm.

George Wesley, who succumbed to cancer on July 19, had recorded numerous times over the years with WVIA’s George Graham and had served as an inspiration to many regional musicians. George was the first artist to record a Homegrown performance in the then new Sordoni Studio Theater at WVIA. WVIA sends their condolences to the family and friends of George Wesley and airs this episode in his memory.
