The Dallas High School Mountaineers (Dallas, PA) face off against the Parkland High School Trojans (Allentown, PA) in the 1st annual Pennsylvania PBS Scholastic Scrimmage State Championship. This event was held at the studios of PBS39 in Bethlehem, PA. The game moderator & host was VIA's Paul Lazar. Encores: Wednesday, September 25th 3:30pm, Sunday, September 29th 11am

 

Battling Opioids: A Project Of Pennsylvania Public Media, Part 3

Thursday, September 26th 8pm 

Battling Opioids, a project of Pennsylvania Public Media Part 3 is continuation of the multi-platform initiative that launched in September 2018. This new one hour program will feature personal stories of courage and hope in the face of opioid addiction interspersed with an informative studio panel discussion. The topic of this third entry in the series deals with the future of treatment in the ongoing battle against opioid addiction. Encore: Thursday, September 26th 9pm Friday, September 27th 1pm & 2pm

 

Food Over 50

Saturdays 4:30pm beginning September 28th

The mission of the cooking series FOOD OVER 50 is to inform, instruct and entertain America's late Gen-X, Boomer and senior audiences with artistic and appetizing preparations of wide-ranging international recipes that are nutritionally enticing. Hosted by David Jackson, FOOD OVER 50 is primarily taped in the scenic Mojave Desert, with cooking segments taking place in the kitchen, and select seafood recipes shot at Jackson's quaint seaside cottage in The Outer Hebrides in Scotland. The series also provides viewers with their own personal nutritionist. During each episode, registered dietician Elizabeth Kelsey joins David to critique recipes from a health perspective and emphasize the importance of cooking fresh food.
 

Animal Babies: First Year On Earth 

Wednesdays 8pm, August 28th thru September 11th

Like all babies, young animals can have a first year filled with joy, love and play. But there will also be challenges, sometimes on a daily basis. To survive, they must overcome threats and challenges, from rivals, from the elements, and predators. To tell the stories of these magical months, four renowned wildlife cinematographers will travel the globe to follow the lives of six iconic baby animals as they grow and develop. This is the story of what it takes to survive in the wild. This is their first year on earth.
 

Magical Land Of Oz

Wednesdays 10pm, August 28th thru September 11th

Burrow into the magical depths of Australian animal life as unique species navigate extremes on land and sea. Blue chip cameras capture the continent's diverse animal populations in its highest snow peaks, frigid southern seas and suburban backyards.

 

Steven Page Trio - Live In Concert

Steven Page is a Canadian musician, singer and songwriter. His distinctive and powerful tenor is among the most instantly recognizable voices in popular music. Steven Page Live features Page in a trio format at the intimate Belleville Theater in Ontario, Canada. Performing with Craig Northey (guitar, vocals) and Kevin Fox (cello, vocals), the concert features some of his most popular compositions from his time as co-founder, lead singer and songwriter for Barenaked Ladies, including "Jane," "Call and Answer" and "Brian Wilson," alongside newer pieces from his most recent solo albums Page One and Heal Thyself, Pt. I: Instinct and Heal Thyself, Pt. II: Discipline.
