Once Upon A Sesame Street Christmas

It's Christmas Eve on Sesame Street! After putting out cookies for Santa, Elmo's dad tells him a bedtime story about his great-great-grandmonster Elmo and how Sesame Street was once an unfriendly street. Everyone was grouchy and there was no holiday spirit. With the help of Grandmonster Elmo's new friends, they try to find a way to bring back the holiday spirit in hopes that Santa would come to visit. They learn that all you need is kindness!

Wild Kratts Creature Christmas

In this one-hour special, it's Christmas time and the Wild Kratts are taking a break from creature adventuring to celebrate. But when the Wild Kratts receive an alert that their favorite creatures are suddenly disappearing around the globe, their holiday party quickly turns into a rescue mission. Our heroes must race against time to thwart their greedy archrivals' most miserly scheme yet! Will they be able to travel to the ends of the earth and return their baby animal friends to their homes in time for the holidays? Find out on Wild Kratts: A Creature Christmas.

Happy Holidays with the Boston Pops

The one-hour music special HAPPY HOLIDAYS WITH THE BOSTON POPS showcases the best of the New England holiday season with the Boston Pops and Tanglewood Festival Chorus, under the direction of Keith Lockhart, performing beloved classics, including "Christmas Canticles" and "Hallelujah Chorus" from Handel's Messiah. Filmed at historic Symphony Hall in Boston, the show features several special segments, including a performance by bass-baritone Justin Hopkins. Country superstar Sara Evans sings songs from her 2014 holiday album "At Christmas," and Mad Men and Broadway star Robert Morse reads "Twas the Night Before Christmas" with musical accompaniment. Of course, no Holiday Pops concert would be complete without the orchestra's signature rendition of Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride," a piece written expressly for the Boston Pops, and a visit from the one and only Santa Claus.

Bucknell Candlelight Christmas

Lessons and Carols, returns to public television. Rooke Chapel, set on one of Central Pennsylvania's most picturesque campuses, makes for an evocative setting in A BUCKNELL CANDLELIGHT CHRISTMAS. The program opens with the traditional candlelight procession and recounts Christ's birth through Bible readings and anthems from the renowned undergraduate musical ensembles, the Rooke Chapel Choir and Rooke Chapel Ringers. This holiday special also highlights the uplifting power of congregational singing, with performances of sacred music and familiar carols such as "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," "Go Tell it On the Mountain," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," "Silent Night" and "Joy to the World."

A popular College tradition, the Christmas Candlelight Service is a " Service of Lessons and Carols" where students, faculty, staff and members of the community come together to celebrate the holiday season.

Christmas at Susquehanna: The 50th Anniversary Candelight Service

Experience the beauty of Weber Chapel bathed in the glow of 1,500 candles in CHRISTMAS AT SUSQUEHANNA: THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY CANDLELIGHT SERVICE. Recorded in December 2016, the program captures the voices of students, faculty, staff, alumni, families and community members joining together on the campus of Susquehanna University in historic Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania to celebrate 50 years of a cherished tradition: Susquehanna University's annual Christmas candlelight service, which was first held on December 15, 1966. The hour-long music special is a wondrous spectacle of candle lighting and carols, as well as traditional readings and songs in celebration of the season. The service also features numerous student musical ensembles, including the University Choir, University Chorale, Chamber Singers, Handbell Choir and Brass Ensemble. Musical highlights include: "Hark! the Herald Angels Sing," "O Little Town of Bethlehem," "We Three Kings," "Silent Night" and more.

Christmas Invitation from Pacific Lutheran University

Pacific Lutheran University's annual holiday tradition rings in the season with a Christmas celebration featuring the world premiere of critically acclaimed composer JAC Redford's, "A Christmas Invitation, " a three-movement work composed for the Choir of the West, University Chorale and PLU's University Symphony Orchestra. The program will also feature a guest appearance by world-renowned Metropolitan Opera soprano and PLU alumna Angela Meade, class of 2001. "

Wheaton College Christmas Festival: Love Divine

Wheaton College Christmas Festival: Love Divine draws viewers into the story of a long-awaited child a king of glory born into the humblest of circumstances. A story that changed human history. This program of sacred Christmas music presented by the Wheaton College Conservatory of Music in Wheaton, Illinois celebrates "Love Divine" the love of God, made manifest through the birth of Jesus Christ. Join the Wheaton College Concert Choir, Men's Glee Club, Percussion Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Women's Chorale and guest artist Claire Holley for a selection of pieces spanning the centuries, including "Wolcum Yole," "A Rhapsody on Christmas Carols," "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," and "Gloria."

Crane Candlelight Concert - Laude!

Laude! means Praise, and The Crane Chorus and Crane Symphony Orchestra come together to perform selections of praise, hope, and joy to celebrate the holiday season. Featuring over 300 carolers and musicians from the renowned Crane School of Music at the State University of New York at Potsdam, the concert includes traditional Christmas and seasonal hymns along with popular favorites. Conducted by Jeffrey Francom and Peter Folliard, this year features the world premiere of Laude!; Alleluia, Venite Gaudete from Paie Cantiones, written in 1582; a rousing rendition of Ain't That-A Rockin'; and the ever-inspiring Hansel and Gretel Overture.

Purdue 83rd Anniversary Christmas Show

This one-hour condensed version of the 83rd anniversary Purdue Christmas Show features musical highlights from the full two-hour show. The first act of this fast-paced high-energy production features holiday favorites from Purdue Musical Organizations ensembles including University Choir, Purdue Bells, Heart & Soul, the Purduettes and the Purdue Varsity Glee Club. The second half features sacred music performed by the combined choirs of Purdue Musical Organizations.

Call The Midwife Holiday Special
