Songs of the Season 2007

High School Chorus Performance, in cooperation with Fox56

Three regional student singing ensembles performed last Wednesday, Dec. 19, in WVIA’s High Definition Theater Studio in Pittston as part of an a unique holiday program. The students’ performance, entitled Songs of the Season, has been taped as a co-production between WVIA Public Media and Fox 56/Wolf-TV. The one-hour program will air on both TV and radio.

Songs of the Season, features the Spartan Singers from Wyoming Valley West, members of the Abington Heights Middle School Chorus and the Handbell Choir and Madrigal Singers from Wyoming Seminary, will be broadcast on Monday, Dec. 24, on WVIA-TV at 7 p.m., and Tuesday, Dec. 25, at 3:30 p.m. In addition, a radio broadcast is slated for WVIA-FM on Dec. 24 at 9 a.m.
The program will also air on WOLF-TV Dec. 24 at 10 p.m. and Dec. 25 at 1 p.m. WQMY will air the program on Dec. 25 at 7:30 a.m.

Deano Noto conducts the Abington Heights Middle School Chorus Scott Coates conducts the Wyoming Valley West Spartan Singers. Tony Kubasek conducts the Wyoming Seminary Handbell Choir. John Vaida conducts the Wyoming Seminary Madrigal Singers.
