If you grew up in northeast Pennsylvania, chances are you danced to an oldies band called “The Poets.” It seems music known as Doo-Wop is more popular than ever and many of those rock bands started just like Lackawanna County’s Pat Luongo, Frank Gervasi and Nick Luongo. They were ALMOST FAMOUS.

Joe Amato was born into the northeast Pennsylvania auto parts business, dropped out of high school when his Dad got sick, multiplied A&A Auto Parts many times over, became a national racing star and now a real estate magnate. He attributes it all to “street smarts.”
