WVIA is looking for Scholastic Scrimmage judges!

We are looking for undergraduates, graduate students, pre-service teachers, professors private sector or industry professionals that have an excellent grasp on math/science; english/social studies and/or art/literature content to volunteer some time in our studio acting at judges for the competition. This time can be tax deductible and qualify for community service hours as we are a 501c3 non profit.

We are looking for people well versed in math/science, English/Social Studies and Art.

Judges are responsible for following along the questions with the host and determining if an alternate answer a student gives is correct or incorrect.  You may be asked to review video questions as well, to make sure there are no ambiguities, etc.  Once taping begins at 9am, you will be asked to follow along with the host and glance ahead at a few questions to make sure there are no trouble spots. In the event a student gives an answer that is not what the host (or you) have on your copies, the host will either tell the student he or she is incorrect, or will ask for a clarification for the judges (if it's close).  All decisions of the judges are final.  You will have time to confer with each other if necessary. There will be 2-3 judges per day.

We ask that judges arrive approximately 8:15 to receive the questions and answer any questions the host may have prior to taping. There will be four games taped each day at 9am, 10am, 11am and noon.  There will be snacks and drinks provided. Taping dates are as follows:
