Stories of Courage. Stories of Sacrifice. Stories of Service

PBS has joined efforts with trusted public media partners to bring you Stories of Service, a multi-platform initiative that unites powerful stories and conversations around one of our country’s most resilient communities: our military veterans.

As part of PBS’ commitment to sharing stories important to our communities and our world, Stories of Service will connect programming and online initiatives tied to military service across public media. PBS viewers will be able to hear the stories and experiences of veterans as told through PBS’ extensive pipeline of documentaries and specials, and through original digital content coming directly from PBS member stations. Programming highlights include:

  • Coming Back with Wes Moore
  • National Memorial Day Concert
  • D-Day 360

“All of the programs under the Stories of Service banner tell compelling stories of those who have served and provide a deeper understanding of our nation’s military history, said Beth Hoppe, PBS Chief Programming Executive and General Manager, General Audience Programming. “As America’s storyteller, PBS is dedicated to informing the public about important issues that touch all communities. Through our programming and online presence, we hope to engage veterans and their families across the nation in sharing their important experiences and informing the broader public about what it takes to serve.”
