My name is Anna Gosselin, and I am a student at MMI Preparatory School where I take a Studio art class. I also have a mentor, Victor Stabin, who works with me outside of school. My interest in art began when I was in the fourth grade where I drew cartoons. Then I moved on to copy the work of some other artists that I was fascinated with, such as Brian Froud and Amy Brown. This past summer I attended the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Arts, a five week long excursion to Mercyhurst College in Erie. This program is best described as an artist's utopia. Now I am applying to several art colleges in New York and Pennsylvania. See this year's Artist of the Week
