RENEE MONTAGNE, Host:
One week from today is Black Friday - that's the day after Thanksgiving, when hordes of shoppers hit the stories looking for holiday gifts and bargains. Today's last word goes not to those Johnny-come-latelys, but to the throngs of Web surfers who've already seen the newspaper ads that you won't get until your Thursday paper arrives.
A number of Web sites claim to have secretly secured copies of those ads from stores like Target, Sears, Toys R Us and Radio Shack. Retailers are not pleased that their sales plans have been prereleased to shoppers and competitors. Wal-Mart insists it will be able to hide many discounts on its Web site until Thanksgiving Day.
