A one-stop-shopping New Orleans Web site has opened for business. SHOPNOLA.ORG provides links to the Big Easy's retailers in the hopes that online shoppers will help get the city back on its feet.
"To have healthy businesses means more employment," says Frank Simoncioni, CEO of a New Orleans institution: Aunt Sally's Praline Shops, one of the retailers featured on the site. "And when we are able to employ more people, we'll have people coming back into New Orleans and resettling."
And if you're not in the market to buy anything, the site also lists nonprofits you can donate to.
