The Writers Guild of America, which represents screen and TV writers, is in contract negotiations with the studios. This year is expected to be especially contentious as the reality TV genre fades, making way again for writers of series programming. Member Jeffrey Stepakoff, who has lived through two strikes in his 20 years writing for TV, speaks with Renee Montagne.
