The Court Appointed Special Advocate Program (CASA) of Pike County will begin its second round of training Sept. 12.
The program is part of a national organization that connects children served by dependency courts with volunteer advocates. The volunteers collect important information about a child’s case. They also help the court act in the best interest of the child.
CASA of Pike County was established in January. The program has since recruited and trained 12 advocate volunteers.
