The Lackawanna County Coroner’s Office announced Tuesday that human remains were found in Taylor, near Old Forge.
County Coroner Timothy Rowland said Pennsylvania State Police Troop R in Dunmore and the Taylor Police Department are investigating.
A forensic anthropologist will examine the skeletal remains, which were discovered beneath the Route 476 bridge that crosses the Lackawanna River.
Rowland said any information concerning the case should be directed to State Police in Dunmore: 570-963-3156.
