The Wilkes-Barre branch of the NAACP organized a wellness fair to take place this week.
Medical consultations, walk-up clinics, free food and music will be available on Public Square Thursday, April 27 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Participants can expect to speak with doctors, dentists, health professionals and social workers. Emergency housing services and drug and alcohol services will also be available.
The local NAACP chapter partnered with the Wilkes-Barre City Health Department, Luzerne County Community College, Geisinger, Black Equity Coalition and Wilkes-University and other groups to hold the wellness event.
