Scranton will get spruced up next month. The city is hosting a city-wide cleanup – called Sprucin’ Up Scranton — each Friday in May.
Bags and gloves will be provided for volunteers. They are encouraged to clean the sidewalks and green spaces of the designated neighborhoods.
The headquarters for pick-up and drop-off will be a city park in one of the four sections of Scranton. All citizens are welcome to join.
- May 5 - South Scranton: Connors Park, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
- May 12 - North Scranton: Weston Park, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
- May 19 - West Scranton: Novembrino Park, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
- May 26 - East Scranton: Nay Aug Park, Community Room, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
