Former Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins staff, players represented in 2023 Stanley Cup Finals

The National Hockey League’s Stanley Cup Finals start Saturday between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Florida Panthers, and a few NEPA natives and alumni from the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will be involved.

Former staff from the Penguins will be represented on both sides of the ice, according to a representative from the local team.

Teddy Richards, an equipment manager from Wilkes-Barre, and Mike Joyce, a strength and conditioning coach from Scranton, are now with the Panthers.

Kyle Moore, the head athletic trainer, as well as Doug Davidson, another strength and conditioning coach, are with the Golden Knights and once part of the Pens' staff.

Former Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pens players also on the coaching staff for both teams. Former captain Ryan Craig is the Knights' assistant coach, and former goalie Rob Tallas is Florida's longtime goaltending coach.

Teddy Blueger, who began his career in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton, is now a Knights' center.

The best-of-seven hockey series begins in Las Vegas.
