Iraqi Prime Minister Calls for Cabinet Change

Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki said Sunday that a Cabinet shakeup is in the works. He appealed to politicians to set aside sectarian loyalties and join in building a new, unified Iraq. Al-Maliki met behind closed doors with Iraqi lawmakers as his country plunged deeper into sectarian violence.

Two suicide bombers killed at least 35 at a police recruiting center in Baghdad, and car bombs and a mass kidnapping spread fear throughout the city.
