The Lehigh Valley International Airport is among three Pennsylvania airports receiving $49 million in funding from the Airport Terminals Program.
The new federal grant program was created by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
The airport in Allentown is receiving $5 million dollars to add four lanes to the security screening checkpoint, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. It will also be used to complete the airport’s ongoing project to complete a terminal connector.
The Philadelphia International Airport received $24 million; and the Pittsburgh International Airport was awarded $20 million.
