The Seven Tubs Recreation Area in Luzerne County will be closed through out much of the summer while a $1.5 million infrastructure improvement project is completed, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR).
The improvements include expanding the parking lot, enhancing the entrance off Route 115 and restoring the road along Bear Creek Boulevard as well as developing pedestrian walkways and improving stormwater management and access to the D&L Trail.
In mid-August, state and local representatives announced the funding and improvements at the recreation area.
Seven Tubs is a 123-acre site in Pinchot State Forest.
