The City of Scranton has almost $1 million dollars available in grants to address health initiatives in the city.
The grants are from the city’s American Rescue Plan funding. They are available for nonprofit organizations, private entities and government agencies seeking to prevent drug overdoses and violence and address behavioral health and wellness.
Applications are available at scrantonpa.gov/arpa.
The city will also host a webinar on Friday, Aug. 26, at 1 p.m. to outline the grant process.
Applications close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 16.
