Hawaii beats Curaçao to win Little League Baseball World Series

The team from Honolulu, Hawaii beat Curaçao 13-to-3 in the 75th annual Little League Baseball World Series championship game Sunday.

Across all of six their games, Hawaii only gave up a few runs, out-scoring their opponents a staggering 60-to-5. Four of the team's games ended due to a mercy rule.

The Hawaiians represented the U.S. West Region, beating the Southeast Region team from Tennessee on Saturday to make it to the final.

The team from the small island of Curaçao representing the Caribbean Region made it to the final after knocking out the team from Taiwan, officially known in the tournament as Chinese Taipei. Curaçao is located just over 40 miles off the northern coast of Venezuela.

Curaçao won the tournament back in 2004, and returned to the championship game in 2005, losing to a team from Hawaii.

Hawaii has now won the tournament four times, as recently as 2018.
