Twenty-one Pennsylvania liquor licenses are now available to bid on.
The state Liquor Control Board opened the auction on Wednesday, Sept. 7. This is the first restaurant license auction since the COVID-19 pandemic paused the practice in June 2020.
Each liquor license is from a PA county. Locally, seven of the 21 licenses are from: Bradford, Carbon, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Schuylkill and Wayne counties.
The minimum bid for each license is $25,000. Each entry must be accompanied by a bid surety of $5,000 or 5% of the total bid amount.
Bids are due by noon on Monday, Oct. 31. They will be opened on Wednesday, Nov. 2. Auction winners will be determined after.
