An exhibit featuring the diversity of Hispanic cultures and art opened on Sept. 16 and runs through Oct. 14th in the Schulman Gallery at Luzerne County Community College in Nanticoke.
The artwork showcase will also include music events, “culinary experiences,” and educational seminars.
The theme of “Endurance and Perseverance” is highlighted in art from residents and students of northeast Pennsylvania.
The “Poderosas Raíces - Mighty Roots” exhibit is being featured during Hispanic Heritage Month.
Unlike other heritage months, which generally begin on the first of the month, Hispanic Heritage Month runs from mid-September until mid-October to coincide with days of independence for Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.
