On Oct. 28, Scranton residents might start to notice footprints on the sidewalks.
The nonprofit Valley In Motion is kicking off its Electric City Trail program by highlighting pedestrian routes and signage toward key sites downtown.
The group will paint directional footprints that lead people toward the Iron Furnaces, Nay Aug Park and the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail.
In a statement, Valley In Motion said a six-mile loop for cyclists will be highlighted next, followed by the completion of some new paths.
The trails are expected to run through the Iron Furnaces property and along Roaring Brook Creek.
