Senators are positioning themselves on the long-awaited Iraq report from Gen. David Petraeus, with Democrats now calling the troop buildup in Iraq "the Bush-Petraeus surge."
They're questioning the credibility of the White House-endorsed reports on Iraq next week, and asserting that Iraq is worse off now than it was six months ago, Anbar province notwithstanding. They're aiming for Republican defections — unsuccessfully, so far.
