After nearly two years of infighting between residents, library supporters and local leadership, the Bradford County Commissioners announced the county library’s new director on Thursday.

Bradford County Commissioners voted 2-1 to dissolve the library’s advisory board on Thursday, Mar. 13.

Bradford County Commissioners and the Friends of the Bradford County Library are locked in a battle over the library’s budget, hours and even its collection. Most recently, the commissioners unveiled a 50 percent budget cut and unexpectedly fired the library’s interim director.WVIA’s Isabela Weiss has been following all of the back and forth, spending quite a bit of time in Bradford County.
