Tennis is in the spotlight on the eve of the Australian Open, the first major tennis tournament of 2008. Three of the top Italian players are suspended by their home country's federation because of their involvement in a betting scandal. And the No. 4 ranked men's player – Russian, Nikolay Davydenko – is accused of throwing a match in August. Jon Wertheim, who covers tennis for Sports Illustrated magazine and SI.com, says: "It's very hard to police this sport. The players come from all over, and they're independent contractors. It's not as though there are teammates they have to answer to. Tennis almost begs for scandal like this."
Wertheim speaks with Andrea Seabrook.
