Miss Austen is a literary mystery reimagined by author Gill Hornby and coming to PBS Masterpiece May 4. But first join WVIA for a free sneak preview of the first episode with prizes and fun Friday, May 2nd at 2 PM at the Hazleton Area Public Library.

Join Us for WVIA Wednesdays at the Everhart: Aging in Northeastern Pennsylvania
Join WVIA at the Everhart Museum as we host a special presentation focused on aging in Northeastern Pennsylvania. This project highlights the experiences, challenges, and opportunities facing older residents in our region.
The event will feature a screening and discussion of highlights from Aging Together in PA, where you’ll learn about creating active, accessible, age-friendly communities, navigating long-term care services, supporting caregivers, and more — all designed to help older adults thrive.
WVIA’s Lisa Mazzarella will host this free event, which includes refreshments and prize giveaways.
While admission is free, space is limited and registration is required.

WVIA will be hosting our annual Member Day for all active members at Montage Mountain Waterpark on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 12pm-6pm.
Member Check In is from 11:30AM to 4:30PM sharp.
Admission to the waterpark allows you access to the slides and rides from 12pm-6pm on the day of your visit.
Follow the WVIA signs to our Member Check In Area in the Ski Rental Building. The Clubhouse Explorers Card or Passport 2 Fun Card is not valid for Montage Mountain Water Park Day.
Tickets will be emailed to members prior to the event. Each link is only valid for one use. You can print your tickets OR show them on your mobile device for entry. If you have any difficulty, WVIA Staff will be on hand at the event to assist you.
All members in attendance need to have a wristband for admission (whether you swim or not). If you need additional wristbands on that day, these can be purchased through Montage Mountain Waterpark.
This event is held RAIN OR SHINE! No outside food or beverages are allowed in the waterpark. Food will be available for purchase.
Lockers are available for rental in the Main Lodge and Rentals Building.
WVIA Members and guests attending WVIA Member Day events will be required to comply with all restrictions and safety measures imposed and/or implemented by the event venue.
WVIA Members should visit the event venue's website for specific safety information.

Join us for WVIA Wednesdays at the Everhart as we host the presentation on aging in Northeastern Pennsylvania. This project aims to highlight what life is like for aging residents in our area.

Singer, songwriter, and guitarist Regina Sayles joins the string quartet of your Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic for an evening of folk, rock, and pop favorites and selections from Sayles’ own original work. With lush string arrangements and compelling vocals, this dynamic collaboration reimagines new and familiar songs in unexpected ways, weaving a rich blend of melody, rhythm, and texture and highlighting the versatility of both Sayles and the Philharmonic strings. Presented as part of the NEPA Philharmonic’s Stoppini Chamber Series and PNC Pops Series in collaboration with Dr. Seth W. & Carolyn Fisher.
The ticket price includes the concert as well as a reception with wine and light hors d'oeuvres prior to the event.
