More school nurses are leaving the industry to low wages and fewer faculty for nursing programs to train the next generation. Nurses still working in the field have seen their job duties change as they take on responsibility for more aspects of student health, or more students at multiple school buildings. How can our area school districts support student health and school nurses who are spread thin?
