Keystone Mission’s 15-Bed Male Transformation Center in Wilkes-Barre will open on July 20.
The center at 290 Parkview Circle will be one of the only male homeless “shelters” in the area. The state-of-the-art facility will take in 10 to 15 men off the streets and bring them into safe housing and sustainable programming.
Keystone Mission, a local faith-based nonprofit, partnered with more than a dozen community agencies and businesses to create the center.
Residents welcomed into the program will learn the importance of self-care, life skills, job-readiness and spiritual training, according to Keystone Mission.
