Scranton’s Connell Park will hosts a Healthy Village Fair tomorrow from noon until 6 p.m.
The first 75 families to show up will receive free bags of fresh fruits and vegetables.
Two dozen community organizations are participating, offering vision and dental care, vaccinations, mental health resources, lifestyle medicine, blood pressure screenings.
For children and families, there will be back-to-school supplies, a bounce house, parenting education, and pony rides.
The free event was organized by Valley In Motion in partnership with the City of Scranton, and is sponsored by the Scranton Area Community Foundation and Sanofi U.S.
Valley In Motion said the event is meant to benefit the community by “[increasing] access to recreation, fresh foods, and support services.”
Connell Park is located at 800 Gibbons Street in South Scranton.
