More than 1,600 cases of intestinal illness cyclosporiasis reported in the U.S.

The CDC has confirmed more than 1600 cases of the parastic infection from cyclospora and is working to confirm at least 5,00 thousand more, and 144 ppl have been hospitalized. Case counts are "unusually high" and expected to continue to increase in the coming weeks.
