A Wayne County man has been sentenced to up to 31 years in prison for charges related to sexually assaulting two children in Carbon County.
Acting State Attorney General Michelle Henry announced Tuesday that 30-year-old George Karagiannis began talking to the victims, ages 12 and 13, through social media sites SnapChat, Omegele and KiK.
After connecting online, Karagiannis asked the girls to meet him at a park at night, the AG said in a statement.
In addition to jail time, Karagiannis is also ordered to serve three years of probation and register as a sex offender.
“The details of this case are disturbing, and I am glad to see a dangerous predator taken off the streets," said Henry.
