A nurse practitioner from Bradford County has pleaded guilty to prescription fraud among other charges.
Stefanie King of Ulster, Pennsylvania has surrendered her Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner’s license and was ordered to pay nearly $450,000 in restitution.
Attorney General Michelle Henry announced Thursday that in a violation of state law, King prescribed medications without a collaborating doctor. At one point, King engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a patient during the charged conduct, according to the AG.
King falsely billed private insurers for more than $300,000 and the commonwealth for $100,000, the AG said in a statement.
