Indianapolis Colts' safety Bob Sanders returns a fourth-quarter interception as coach Tony Dungy raises a fist in triumph.
Indianapolis Colts' safety Bob Sanders returns a fourth-quarter interception as coach Tony Dungy raises a fist in triumph.

The Indianapolis Colts overcome heavy rain and the Chicago Bears for a 29-17 victory in Sunday's Super Bowl.

The Colts' quarterback, Peyton Manning — one of the most highly regarded talents in the game — was named the game's MVP despite throwing an early interception.

Tony Dungy became the first black coach to win a Super Bowl. The win came against his protege, Bears' coach Lovie Smith. The two were the first black head coaches in the 41-year history of the Super Bowl.
