  • The public's growing distrust of government has undermined proposals from President Obama and Congress, a new survey finds. Such mistrust is hardly new, but its growth over the past year is striking, given the wave of trust that helped usher Obama into office. Obama's top adviser blames Republicans for trying to de-legitimize government.
  • Senate Democrats rolled out their framework for the comprehensive overhaul Thursday. They say the top priority is to secure the border.
