Education Clip Eleanor Roosevelt after FDR

9m 27s

Eleanor Roosevelt’s involvement in world affairs continues as President Harry Truman nominates her as a delegate to the United Nations. She is teamed with two political enemies of FDR, but is unanimously elected chair of a committee to draw up a Universal Declaration of Human Rights. She was tough as she was tactful. The UN delegation unanimously adopted the Declaration.
