The Foo Fighters latest album, Echoes, Silence, Patience, & Grace is nominated for a Grammy for album of the year. Dave Grohl, the group's leader, was previously the drummer for the band Nirvana; he formed Foo Fighters after the death of Kurt Cobain in 1994.
"Echoes" is the Foo Fighters' sixth album. Grohl also performed as a drummer on Tenacious D's debut album, and later appeared in the 2006 movie Tenacious D in the Pick of Destiny. This interview was originally broadcast on October 22, 2007.
