Williamsport baseball team offers preseason event, free opening night for vets and military
The Williamsport Crosscutters baseball team kicks off their season next week.
The team belongs to the MLB Draft League alongside five other regional teams, including the State College Spikes.
Ahead of opening night, the Williamsport team will host a “Meet the Cutters” event on Wednesday May 31 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Muncy Bank Ballpark.
Attendees will be able to meet and get autographs from players, coaches and the mascot, Boomer. There’s no charge for the preseason event, and the team said in a statement free hot dogs and soda will be available.
The Crosscutters first game of the season on June 1 at 6:35 p.m. will be against the State College Spikes. The team announced all veterans and active-duty military can receive two free tickets by showing their military IDs at the box office.
