Montana Hopes to Lure Tourists with Bison

The American Prairie Foundation is working to reintroduce thousands of bison and other native species to parts of Montana, with the hopes of luring eco-tourists

Malta, Montana and the ranch country around it have seen rapid economic and population decline in recent years. Backers of the prairie development plan say that an influx of free-roaming buffalo might reverse that. Convincing ranchers that the animals are really that exciting has proven surprisingly challenging.
