Foreign correspondent Charles Sennott just returned from Iraq, where he witnessed the U.S. military's so-called "surge" first-hand, as an embedded reporter with the Army's 28th Infantry Regiment.
Sennott says that while the soldiers of the surge have seen their share of action, they're also engaging in peace talks to create coalitions between Sunni and Shiite factions.
Currently with the Boston Globe, Sennott is leaving the paper in April to create Global News Enterprises, a new foreign-news Web site, where he will be executive editor, co-founder and vice president.
