Big Games Loom for College Teams Eyeing a Title

Michele Norris talks with Wall Street Journal sportswriter Stefan Fatsis about this weekend's big college football games. Though it's early in the season, several match-ups have post-season implications. Among them: No. 6 LSU vs. No. 3 Auburn, and No. 7 Florida plays at No. 13 Tennessee.

Last week's marquee matchup was No. 1 Ohio State against No. 2 Texas, which Ohio State won handily. That allowed Notre Dame to vault to the second spot in the national rankings, and Saturday, the Irish host No. 11 Michigan.

Also, there have been two notable suspensions in college football: A back-up punter has been kicked off the University of Northern Colorado's team for allegedly stabbed his starting rival in the leg. And the entire Stanford marching band was suspended afte some members vandalized a rehearsal trailer this summer.

The trailer suffered damage estimated to cost in the tens of thousands of dollars. The suspension means that the team, which is now 0-2, will inaugurate its new stadium without the school band.
