Luzerne County Children, Youth and Families

Luzerne County has asked a federal judge to dismiss a suit filed by adoptive parents Keith and Dawn Medash, who allege the county child protection agency knew their son was in danger, but gave custody to abusive birth parents anyway. The county says only the biological father is to blame for the boy’s injuries.

Keith and Danielle Medash have sued the Luzerne County Children, Youth and Families agency in federal court alleging officials ignored warning signs about the danger presented by the birth parents of a boy they later adopted. The natural father was later charged with fracturing the boy's skull.
