Nicholson in Wyoming County will celebrate its sesquicentennial this year. While the anniversary of the borough's incorporation is not until August, organizers believe such a milestone calls for a year-long celebration.

Individual mailboxes are fastened to the front porch of each apartment at Bridgeview Commons on Harding Avenue in Nicholson. But most residents of the 12-unit senior housing community say the boxes haven’t been used once.
